It’s official….I’m barren!!

3 07 2008

Kudos to my surgeons, the nurses, anesthesiologists and everyone who puffed me full of gas, roto-rootered my uterus and sent me home yesterday.

As a joke, I placed temporary tattoos with patriotic themes all over my lower abdomen…..I thought it would be a cute joke, but it only made for more work for the scrub nurse….oops!!

The Vicoden the subscribed is giving me a headache, and the doctor is out of town for the Fourth of July, so I have to make do with Tylenol with Codeine, which is limiting my ability to move as much as I’d like.

Although they tried to remove all the gas, some of it remains and floats around my upper shoulders and chest….very uncomfortable. My insides feel all bruised up, and my organs feel as if they don’t know which way to go….like they can’t relax into their normal positions, because they’ve become accustomed to my uterus being in the way.

That’s all I have for today….back to bed!!

I remain humbled by all of the well-wishes, flowers, phone calls and e-messages.

i’m glad everything went well…i was just wondering and realized i hadn’t stopped by yesterday like i had wanted. anesthesia can take two days or so to disappear from the body (goody, eh? lol). vicodin is ‘relief’ for me….i don’t feel squat after, and i go to sleep LOL but tylenol w codeine should give you some comfort & not make you so sick. when i had my lithotripsy done, i was still feeling effects from the anesthesia, then they gave me pain killers that make you sleepy, and something for nausea…that makes you sleepy…then my ex had the nerve to ask me if i was ever getting up to spend time w the family. i’m sorry…i’m drugged up…i’m knocked the you-know-what out. LOL
